It's easy to keep your hot tub clean and shiny.
All H2O Hot Tubs use Lucite® Spa acrylic, one of the glossiest, highest quality surface materials available. The non-porous surface prevents dirt from accumulating and resists stains better than other plastics. With normal use, Lucite® is so durable it will retain its beauty with minimum effort.
To maintain the high-gloss, elegant look of your hot tub, just follow these simple steps:
➊ Use common household, non-abrasive cleaners for most cleaning jobs. For normal care and cleaning use a soft cloth, or sponge with soap and water. Rinse well and dry with a soft, clean cloth. If using a household cleaner, make sure it is recommended for use on acrylic by the manufacturer.
➋ Never use abrasive cleaners.
➌ Do not allow your shell surface to come into contact with products such as ketones or esters such as acetone or ethyl acetate (nail polish remover), nail polish, dry cleaning solution or other chlorinated organic solvents, lacquer thinners, gasoline, aromatic solvents, pine oil, etc.
➍ Remove dust and dry dirt with a soft, damp cloth.
➎ Clean grease, oil, paint and ink stains with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Dry with a clean, soft cloth. Rubbing alcohol should not be used as a general cleaner.
➏ Avoid using razor blades or other sharp instruments that might scratch the surface. Small scratches can be removed by applying a thin coat of automotive paste wax and buff lightly with a clean cloth. For deeper scratches, sand the surface lightly with 400-grit ‘wet or dry’ paper and buff with fine-grit buffing compound.
➐ Homeowners should always follow manufacturers guidelines when sanitising the water in their spa. Chemicals used to clean pool water are not always appropriate for cleaning spa water. Certain chemicals, such as TriChlor, can cause localized fading and deterioration of an acrylic spa surface.
